Sherin Subhi Hamed With a professional career spanning over 25 years, Dr. Sherin Subhi Hamed is a senior expert in education, mainly policies, measurement and evaluation, and research. She is currently the Executive Director at the National Center for Curriculum Development in Jordan. Previously, she served as the Dean of Princess Sarvath Community College (2019-2022), and as an educational expert at the Regional Center for Educational Planning in UAE (2016-2019).

Dr. Hamed earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a focus on measurement and evaluation from Amman Arab University (2007). She completed the requirements for a Master's certificate in Evaluation from the Evaluators' Institute at George Washington University in the United States (2011- 2014). She also holds a Master's degree in Science Curriculum and Teaching Methods from Amman Arab University(2002), a Professional Diploma in School Management from the University of Jordan (2000), and a Bachelor of Science/Physics from the University of Jordan (1996).

Dr. Sherin Hamed is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She

was a former member of the Education Council at MOE/Jordan, and a founding member and former Deputy President (2014- 2017) of the Jordanian Evaluation Society. Within her academic interests, she has participated in various programs with UNESCO, UIS/UNESCO, the World Bank, USAID, the European Union, engaging in workshops and seminars, regional and international activities related to educational policies, educational planning and management, women and youth, vocational and technical education.

Dr. Hamed began her career in the classroom as a science and mathematics teacher for five years. From 2009 to 2014, she served as a senior researcher at the National Center for Human Resources Development, focusing on monitoring and evaluating educational interventions, and large-scale assessment (PISA, TIMSS). At Jordan Education Initiative, she headed the Monitoring, Evaluation, Communication, and Outreach (2014-2016).

Dr. Hamed served as the National Coordinator for the Reading Literacy Assessment Program in Jordan and was a member of the Steering Program Committee at the UIS in Montreal. She represented the Arab region on the Technical Advisory Committee for the review of the International Standard Classification of Education Programs (ISCED 2011).

Additionally, she volunteered and participated in various technical committees and policy think tanks in the field of education.

Dr. Sherin Hamed has a publication record, contributing to works in student learning assessment, program evaluation, and policy briefs, studies, and articles. She is co-author in the translation of two recent books into Arabic in the fields of psychological measurement and assessment , and research design and methodologies.
