Please see below information on the KIT Scholarships that are available to health professionals from Jordan and other countries are on the eligibility the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) list. Scholarships from Orange Knowledge Fund to study at KIT Royal Tropical Institute

Are you looking for financial support to study for a Master’s degree or an advanced course in public or global health in 2018? We are very happy to inform you that there are scholarships available from the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP), former Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP).

For the upcoming deadline there are OKP scholarships available for KIT’s MPH programme and a number of Summer courses (see the list below). If you are you a health professional from one of the 51 eligible OKP countries we encourage you to explore this opportunity.
KIT offers an inspiring environment to get up-to-date on the newest developments in Public Health and exchange experiences with a group of like-minded global health professionals.

Scholarships Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP)
Upcoming application period: Winter 2018

The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) (former NFP programme) is a 5-year programme that aims to advance the capacity, knowledge and quality of both individuals and institutions of higher and vocational education. Talented health professionals from 51 eligible OKP countries can apply for a full scholarship.

For the following programmes there are scholarships available from the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP).

Application deadlines Orange Knowledge Fund Scholarship
If you want to apply for a scholarship from the Orange Knowledge Fund, make sure you first apply for academic admission to KIT. 

  • Deadline KIT Royal Tropical Institute for academic admission (if applying for OKP): as soon as possible but at the latest by 26 February 2018
  • Registration period OKP: 2 February until 26 March 2018

 Other Upcoming courses in 2018

We are happy to inform you of a number of upcoming courses on wide range of topics. The short courses can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of one of our Masters programmes.

  • Master in International Health (MIH)
    Course dates: start dates 5 March 2018 or 10 September 2018. Fulltime or part-time option possible (1 up to 5 years)
    The aim of the MIH is to develop the capacity of health professionals working at the interface of international organisations and national health systems.
     
  • Netherlands Course in Global Health and Tropical Medicine (NTC) (core course MIH or stand-alone course,)
    Course dates: 10-3-2017, 3 months (given twice a year) (still a few places left!)
    This course provides essential preperation for health professionals such as medical doctors, nurses and midwives planning to work in low and middle income countries.

Courses on Health Systems Strengthening

Courses on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and HIV and AIDS

Courses on Disease Management

Course dates: 19 November - 7 December 2018
The aim of the course is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills enabling them to use of GIS as a tool for improved planning and performance of disease control.

 

WHO Collaborating Centre
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has designated KIT Health as WHO Collaborating Centre for Human Resources for Health and for Health Systems in Fragile and Conflict affected contexts.
